COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. - The Yellowjacket women's track and field team saw themselves competing in another midweek meet Thursday, taking on the CSB/SJU Invite. On the day, the 'Jackets took home 10 personal records, five season bests, an event win in the 800-meters and a new school record courtesy of
Sidney Bader (Milltown, Wis./Unity).
Meet Notes
- Bader's mark of 36.14 meters set not only a school record, but a new personal record for second place. This mark now sets her 79th overall in NCAA Division III.
- Ella Briggs (Ridgeland, Wis./Prairie Farm) set a new personal best time of 13.79 seconds in the 100-meter dash.
- Chesney Phillipp's (Jacksonville, N.C./Holdingford) mark of 17.78 seconds saw her take 13th in the 100-meter hurdles. She later leaped to an indoor high jump of 1.48 meters for eighth place.
- Simone Stephens (Scottsdale, Ariz./Saguaro) won the 800-meter race with a time of 2:18.74 seconds.
- Taylor DeCook (Arlington Heights, Ill./Prospect) led the Yellowjackets in the 1,500-meter race, collecting a season-best mark of 5:13.58.
- Bel Dimaze (Monticello, Minn./Spectrum) cracked the top 10 in the long jump with a leap of 4.85 meters.
- The 4x100-meter relay squad of Cora Schmitz (Luck, Wis./Unity), Aylie Dahl (Beaumont, Alberta/John Maland), Dimaze and Aislin Carrick (Monitor, Alberta/Shaftesbury) took fourth with a race time of 51.73 meters.
The Yellowjackets will have over a week until they host the First Annual Dan Conway Classic next Saturday. Action will take place at SCCU Stadium.
