ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Yellowjacket men's tennis team traveled to the Hayden Tennis Courts on the campus of Macalester College to take on the Scots Sunday. The Scots came out on top, sweeping Superior 7-0.
Match Notes
- Adam Culp (Metamora, Ill./Metamora Township) and Keanu Lin (Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount) fell 6-2 at the top doubles spot, while Yash Chhabra (Jaipur, Rajasthan/Sanskar School) and Enzo Nascimento (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Placidina) nearly fell 7-5 to their Scots counterparts.
- Andrew Larsen (Bloomington, Minn./Thomas Jefferson) and Diego Sabroso (Zaragoza, Spain/Compania De Maria) dropped their doubles bout at the third position.
- Matt McBride (Fresno, Calif./Clovis West) dropped a close contest with Alexander Coleman. He would fall 6-2 before winning 6-4, but ultimately dropped the tiebreaker 1-0 (10-7).
- Andrei Rivera (St. James, Minn./St. James) also fell in a tiebreaker, falling 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) in the fifth singles position.
The Yellowjackets return to action Friday, Oct. 2 where they see action in the ITA Midwest Regional. Action is set for various locations within the greater area of Saint Peter, Minn.
