The 2013-14 season may not yet be in the books for Yellowjacket sports teams, but coaches are continuing to put the finishing touches on their recruiting classes for 2014-15. Yellowjacket women's hockey coach Dan Laughlin announced the committment of five skaters for his team that will arrive on campus in the fall.

Forwards Mikayla Goodin (Andover, Minn.), Maggie Cragg (Champlin, Minn.), Kelly Cockerill (Selkirk, Manitoba), and Alexa Weiss (Sleepy Eye, Minn.) join defender Rebekah Hakk (Moorhead, Minn.) to form what will be the freshman class of 2014-15.

"We had a big senior class this year and lost a lot of key players to graduation; a lot of players that had big contributions to our team over the years," Laughlin said. "We like the group of players that we have coming in. There is some speed and skill, there is some size, and there are two-way players. More importantly, this is a group of great citizens and they will do a great job in the community and the classroom as well. They will help fill the void of everything we lost to graduation."

The Yellowjacket women's hockey team will kick off the 2014-15 season on Friday, October 31 when they play at Augsburg College beginning at 7:00 p.m.
