UW-Oshkosh Kollegetown Invitational Men's Results
WINNECONNE, Wis. (October 14, 2017) – The Yellowjackets posted a 12th-place finish at the UW-Oshkosh Kollege Town Invite Saturday; the team was backed by
Evan Walpole (Superior, Wis./Superior) who ran a 26:55.7.
In a 21 team race, the 'Jackets beat out fellow UMAC teams St. Scholastica and Northwestern, with a score of 313 to place first among UMAC teams.
Rand Bieri (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet) finished behind Walpole in 52nd and a time of 27:02.8, while
Sam Smith (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH) ran a personal best for the course at 27:18.2 for 69th.
Eddie Carlson (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul) ran a season-best 28:39.6 for 171st place.
Three runners set personal-bests on the day,
Henry Seeb (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater Area) ran a 28:40.5 to take 173rd overall,
Nick Nemec (Ashland, Wis./Ashland) ran a 30:11.9 to place 244th, and
Tyler Finger (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville) took 275th at 31:08.2.
Agustana (Ill.) took first place with a score of 96, host UW-Oshkosh placed second at 107, and Olivet Nazarene combined for 116 to take third.
This race marked the end of the regular season for Superior and the 'Jackets will compete in the UMAC Championships Saturday Oct. 28.
