SUPERIOR, Wis. (February 4, 2018) – The Yellowjackets got another point Sunday Morning, but were unable to pull out the victory over Saint Mary's University.
Doubles
The single point on the day came from the no. 3 doubles team of Charlotte Zangs (Maplewood, Minn./North St. Paul) and Megan Dulong (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids), taking care of business with an 8-5 win. The other doubles teams played well, Alison Tollas (Ashland, Wis./Ashland) and Mariah Linder (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids) pushed their opponents to an 8-4 match, but to no avail.
Singles
Dulong also had a nice day for the Yellowjackets in her singles matchup, pushing opponent Sheyenne Bauer to two 6-3, 6-3 sets, but couldn't come out on top. Emily Wald (Antigo, Wis./Antigo) also played well, but fell to Cassandra Barr 6-2, 6-1.
"It was good to see all of our players working hard on the court." Head coach Kolin Dean said. "We want to get better, and I think even in the loss, the match today helped us stay on that track."
The Yellowjackets will make their first road trip of the season, heading to Minneapolis, Minn. to take on Hamline Sunday, Feb. 11 at noon.
