SUPERIOR, Wis. (April 21, 2018) – In their second match of the weekend, the Yellowjackets beat the North Centrals Rams with their second sweep in a row.

Doubles

The no. 3 grouping of Megan Dulong (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids) and Charlotte Zangs (Maplewood, Minn./North St. Paul) had a clean sweep of their opponent with an 8-0 win, while the no. 1 and no. 2 Yellowjacket pairings both saw 8-1 wins over the Rams.

Singles

Mariah Linder (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids) saw the most pushback in the no. 2 position for Superior, falling behind in the first set 4-6, but stormed back to take a 6-2 win and 10-7 tiebreaker. Alison Tollas (Ashland, Wis./Ashland) won her singles match at no. 1 by a 6-2 and 6-4 score, while Youmei Li (Ganzhou, China/Ganzhou) and Emily Sherrard (Bayfield, Wis./St. Croix Lutheran) took care of business at no. 5 and 6 with 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-0.

"We made some adjustments throughout the match today and our perserverance and ability to change the way we play really showed today." Head coach Kolin Dean said.
