SUPERIOR, Wis. (April 22, 2018) – The Yellowjackets completed the weekend sweep Sunday afternoon, defeating the Bethany Lutheran Vikings.

Doubles

The no. 1 duo of Alison Tollas (Ashland, Wis./Ashland) and Mariah Linder (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids) took care of business, defeating Denae Walton and Leah Schaefer by an 8-3 score. The other two Yellowjacket pairings beat the Vikings by an 8-1 score.

Singles

Tollas and Emily Wald (Antigo, Wis./Antigo) both had strong outings in singles play, going 6-0 and 6-0 on the day. Megan Dulong (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids) beat Nicole Moldstad by a 6-1, 6-2 score, while Charlotte Zangs (Maplewood, Minn./North St. Paul) took a victory at the no. 6 position with  6-1, 6-2.

Kitana Honkola (Eveleth, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert) saw some pushback in her first set with a 6-3 win, but powered through the second set with 6-0.

Head coach Kolin Dean commented saying: "We came to play today! I'm proud of our effort and how we carried ourselves today."
