Box Score ST. PETER, Minn. – The UW-Superior men's tennis doubles pair of Andre Luiz de Melo Guedes (Brasilia, Brazil/Centro de Ensino Médio Paulo Freire) and Gergo Potz Nagy (Budapest, Hungary/Veres Pálné Secondary Grammar School) advanced to the third round in the ITA Midwest Regional on Saturday at Swanson Tennis Center.

The senior duo, which had its second-round match postponed to Saturday after a lengthy rain delay disrupted play on Friday, defeated Marco Siviero and Diego Guzman of Gustavus Adolphus, 8-5. Luiz de Melo Guedes and Potz Nagy then fell to UW-Whitewater's Brendan Pietila and Payton Adkission, 8-3, to end their run.

Elsewhere, in the Midwest Open doubles draw, freshman Jace Gilbertson (Menomonie, Wis./Menomonie Senior) and sophomore Miles Dempsey (Golden, Colo./Green Mountain) dropped an 8-0 decision in the first round to Dylan Wiemers and Joaquim Fernandes of Luther.

The tournament ends the Yellowjackets' fall competition season. UWS opens its dual-match season Feb. 5 at Macalester.
