VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Yellowjacket men's track and field team followed up Friday's strong performance with a second consecutive solid outing on day two of the Betty S. Rogers Spring Break Invitational, hosted by Virginia Wesleyan University.

Friday, the Yellowjackets won three events and broke the school record in the 4-x-200-meter relay. Saturday the Yellowjackets delivered another first-place finish, and again set a school record in a relay.

This time it was the 4-x-100-meter relay team that set a new school record. The team of
Will Schorr (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior),
Ethan Westimayer (Laona, Wis./Laona),
Jordan Goldfine (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior) and
Garrett Lynch (Portage, Wis./Portage) registered a time of 43.38 seconds, which bettered the previous record, set a quarter century ago in 1989. The Yellowjackets placed third overall in the event.

Nate Ohman (Lake Nebagamon, Wis./Northwestern), who won the meet's hammer throw Friday, earned his second championship of the weekend Saturday in the shot put. Ohman won he event with a heave of 15 meters, beating the rest of the field by 2.3 meters.
Carson Wilhorn (Necedah, Wis./Necedah) also earned a top-five finish in the shot put, placing fifth with a mark of 10.56 meters.

Another strong performance was turned in by
Earl Foster (Forest Lake, Minn./Spectrum). A day after moving into the top ten nationally in the javelin, Foster had a big day in the discus, placing second overall and first among collegiate throwers with a mark of 39.44 meters. Wilhorn again had a top-five finish, placing fifth with a throw of 35 meters.

Meet Notes
- Schorr had a good showing in the 100-meter dash, placing fourth in the finals with a time of 11.33 seconds.
- Garrett Kroells (Green Isle, Minn./Sibley East) placed 11th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.77.
- Westimayer placed fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.79 seconds. Schorr wasn't far behind, placing sixth, coming in with a time of 23.13.
- In addition to the Yellowjackets and Virginia Wesleyan, Bryant and Stratton (Va.), Montgomerey (Md.), Old Dominion, Valparaiso and Howard (Md.) Community College also competed in the meet.
Next up for the Yellowjackets is the Saint John's Invitational, taking place at Clemens Stadium in Collegeville, Minn. Thursday, March 28.
