CLOQUET, Minn. – The Yellowjacket men's tennis team hosted non-conference action Saturday, taking on the Scots of Macalester College at the Cloquet High School Tennis Courts. Following the 'Jackets taking the doubles point, the Scots fought back throughout singles play until Superior broke through with a 4-3 win in Cloquet.

- The two doubles wins for the 'Jackets came at Nos. 1 and 3, as Igor Guetten Chaves (Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil/Colégio Adventista) and Vitor Sakakibara (São Paulo, Brazil/Colégio Saber) won 6-2 while Adam Culp (Metamora, Ill./Metamora Township) and Yash Chhabra (Jaipur, Rajasthan/Sanskar School) claimed a 6-3 victory.
- Nos. 3, 5 and 6 singles fell in favor of the Yellowjackets. In the third spot, Chhabra defeated Kangyu Li 6-0, 6-1 while Mateo Abarca Pino (Riobamba, Ecuador/El Despertar) defeated his Scot counterpart 6-0, 6-4.
- Keanu Lin (Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount) won his first game 7-5 before falling 6-3. In the tiebreaker, he took down Beckett Annes 1-0 (10-6) for the Yellowjacket victory.
The 'Jackets are back in action Friday, Feb. 13 where they take on UW-Eau Claire. Action is set for the YMCA Tennis Center in Eau Claire.
