NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The UW-Superior men's tennis team continued the fall portion of their schedule as they faced St. Olaf on Friday Afternoon. The Yellowjackets were able to come out of the matchup successful winning by a score of 4-3.  

Match Notes:  

• The Yellowjacket Nos. 1 and 2 doubles dropped their matches as the team of Igor Guetten Chaves (Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil/Colégio Adventista) and Vitor Sakakibara (São Paulo, Brazil/Colégio Saber) lost 6-4. The pairing of Sharan Kanugovi (Bangalore, Karnataka/New Baldwin International School) and Yash Chhabra (Jaipur, Rajasthan/Sanskar School) dropped their match 6-2.  

• The No. 3 pairing of Mateo Abarca Pino (Riobamba, Ecuador/El Despertar) and Keanu Lin (Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount) took their match 7-6 (7-5) for UWS.  

• In the No. 1 singles Guetten Chaves took the first set 6-4, then dropped the second set 6-2. In the tiebreaker set Guetten Chaves won 10-5. 

• In No. 2 singles Kanugovi swept his opponent with scores of 6-0 and 7-6 (7-4).  

• In No. 3 singles Chhabra dropped both sets to the Oles' Lou Smith with scores of 6-2 and 7-6 (7-3). 

• Sakakibara took care of business for UWS as he won his singles draw in three sets.  

• Abarca Pino also won his singles match in three sets by scores of 6-4, 6-7 (3-7) and 10-7. 

• Rounding out the Yellowjackets singles competition was Adam Culp (Metamora, Ill./Metamora Township) who was swept in his matchup.  

The Yellowjackets are back on the court again tomorrow as they take on Carleton. Opening serve is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at the Pat Lamb Tennis Courts in Northfield, Minn.
