BECKER, Minn. – The Yellowjacket women's golf team competed in their third and final round of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Championship Saturday, sitting in second place behind Northwestern. Despite a valiant effort, the Eagles carded their lowest round of the tournament, giving the Yellowjackets second place.
Round Three Notes
- Abby Schintz (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) led on the day, shooting her lowest round in three days with a 12-over 84. She finished fifth on the individual leaderboard.
- Ashton Parnell (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti) was the second Yellowjacket finisher, also shooting her lowest round. She came in ninth individually while carding an 86.
- Shooting a 43/46 split was Olivia Weyenberg (Stacy, Minn./North Branch), ending her tournament with an 89.
- Sophia Otto (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) and Makayla Ammerman (Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson) followed, rounding out UWS with scores of 93 and 95, respectively.
Saturday's round concludes the fall season for the Yellowjackets. They will return to action in the spring.
