RICE LAKE, Wis. - The Yellowjacket women's golf team was in action Friday as they hosted the UWS Spring Invite. After day one the Yellowjackets found themselves in first place, carding a team score of 355. 

Match Notes:

• Abby Schintz (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) led the way for Superior carding a 83 for her round and finishing day one in first place individually. She logged back-to-back birdies on the 16th and 17th hole.
• Olivia Weyenberg (Stacy, Minn./North Branch) followed in solo second shooting a 15 over round after day one. 
• Allie Maschke (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) and Karin Hill (Duluth, Minn/Denfeld) finished there rounds with scores of 89 and 97 after day one. 
• Ashton Parnell (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti) round out the team competitors as she carded a 99 with a 46/53 split.
• Lily Klocker finished her round in fifth place shooting a 19 over round. 
• Brynn Johnson (South Range, Wis./Superior) and Maya Siddiqui (Iron River, Wis./Northwestern) rounded out the Yellowjackets in action, finishing with 98 and 112 rounds, respectively. 

The Yellowjackets are back in action for day two of the UWS Spring Invite which starts at 11 a.m. from Turtleback Golf Course in Rice Lake.
