NEW ULM, Minn. – The Yellowjacket women's golf team took part in midweek action Thursday, teeing off at the MLC Spring Invite hosted by Martin Luther. In a field of the entire Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) in attendance, the Yellowjackets had a strong outing, finishing second with a collective 350.
Round Notes
- Olivia Weyenberg (Stacy, Minn./North Branch) led the Yellowjackets with a 12-over 83. She finished in a logjam of third place on the individual leaderboard.
- Abby Schintz (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) followed in a tie for fifth place with a round of 85.
- Ashton Parnell (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti) finished within the top 10, finishing her day with a 17-over 88.
- Both Brynn Johnson (South Range, Wis./Superior) and Allie Maschke (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) capped their Thursday with rounds of 94 and 95, respectively.
- Finishing in a tie of 21st place was Lilly Klocker (Ramsey, Minn./Anoka) (98), while Karin Hill (Duluth, Minn/Denfeld) (105) and Maya Siddiqui (Iron River, Wis./Northwestern) (112) finished the Superior entrants.
The Yellowjackets are set to host their two-day UWS Spring Invite, which is set for Friday and Saturday. Friday's tee times are scheduled for 11 a.m. at Turtleback Golf Course in Rice Lake, Wis.
