SUPERIOR, Wis. - The last time UW-Superior and Northwestern met inside Mertz Mortorelli Gymnasium, the Yellowjackets took down the Eagles. The 'Jackets looked to do the same thing a year later, but this time the Eagles got the upper hand taking the match by a score of 3-1.

In the first set, the 'Jackets took control, gaining a 12-7 lead early behind efforts from Sidney Bader (Milltown, Wis./Unity) and Sydney Smith (Milltown, Wis./Unity). The Yellowjackets were able to get the lead to as many as ten, ultimately taking the set 25-17.

Offensively the 'Jackets were paced by Makenna Hohbein (Holdingford, Minn./Holdingford), who had 18 kills, Bader added 11 while Marena Saeger (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) had six.  
	 
The Yellowjackets return to the court on Friday as they host Minnesota Morris. First serve is set for 7 p.m. inside Mertz Mortorelli Gymnasium.
