SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Yellowjacket men's tennis team hit the road Saturday to take on the No. 14-ranked team in NCAA Division III, the Golden Gusties of Gustavus Adolphus College. GAC entered the day riding a four-match winning streak, while Superior is coming off yet another rugged spring trip slate.

The 'Jackets logged a singles victory at the top spot, but the Gusties prevailed to take a 6-1 victory in their home confines of the Swanson Tennis Center.

- Slotted at No. 1 doubles, Yash Chhabra (Jaipur, Rajasthan/Sanskar School) and Sharan Kanugovi (Bangalore, Karnataka/New Baldwin International School) were within arms reach of a break point but fell to Owen Skanse and Noah Hakim 7-5.
- Mateo Abarca Pino (Riobamba, Ecuador/El Despertar) and Igor Guetten Chaves (Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil/Colégio Adventista) were at the second spot, falling 6-3.
- The Yellowjacket duo of Blake Haugen (Fairmont, Minn./Fairmont) and Brandon Chu (Rogers, Minn./Rogers) fell 6-1 at No. 3 doubles to Quinn Monson and Yash Bahalkar.
- Guetten Chaves earned a 7-5 win in the opener, followed by a 6-2 victory to serve as the Yellowjackets' lone point of the afternoon.
- Kanugovi was upended by Hakim with a pair of 6-3 losses.
- The Golden Gusties took No. 3 singles by decisions of 6-3, 6-4.
- Abarca Pino, along with Brandon Chu (Rogers, Minn./Rogers) and Blake Haugen (Fairmont, Minn./Fairmont) fell in their singles bouts.
