FARGO, N.D. – Serving as one of the final matches before Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play begins, the Yellowjacket men's tennis team traveled to Courts Plus Community Fitness to take on the Cobbers of Concordia College. After securing the first doubles point of the day, CC came back and snuck away with a 4-3 victory against the 'Jackets.

Match Notes
- Doubles play featured the duo of Yash Chhabra (Jaipur, Rajasthan/Sanskar School) and Sharan Kanugovi (Bangalore, Karnataka/New Baldwin International School) defated Ryoga Yano and Isaac Maddock by a 6-3 decision. In similar fashion at the No. 2 spot, Igor Guetten Chaves (Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil/Colégio Adventista) and Vitor Sakakibara (São Paulo, Brazil/Colégio Saber) took down Kai Kringlie and Logan Sandberg 6-2.
- At the top singles position, Guetten Chaves fell to Yano 6-4 in the first game. He responded with a 6-1 win before ultimately falling 7-5 in the finale.
- Sharan Kanugovi (Bangalore, Karnataka/New Baldwin International School) fell to Maddock 6-3, 7-5 at the second position before Sandberg defeated Chhabra by an identical 6-3, 7-5 score.
- Mateo Abarca Pino (Riobamba, Ecuador/El Despertar) and Brandon Chu (Rogers, Minn./Rogers) picked up victories at Nos. 4 and 6 positions. They took down their Cobbers counterparts 6-2, 6-4 and 6-3, 7-6 (8-6), respectively.
- Sakakibara fell to Kringlie 7-6, 7-5 at No. 5 singles.

Superior has one final match against Grinnell College next Sunday before entering conference play. The opening serve is set for 2 p.m. at the Winona Tennis Center.
