DULUTH, Minn. – Saturday served as the final meet for the Yellowjacket women's track and field team before next weekend's trip to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Â
For the first time this season, the Yellowjackets were competing outdoors within sight of their own home track, and being close to home agreed with the Yellowjackets, as they performed well at Minnesota Duluth's Bulldog Open.
Â
Leading the way for the Yellowjackets was
Sidney Bader (Milltown, Wis./Unity), who was victorious in the javelin throw with a mark of 33.73 meters. Bader's win was the one victory on the day for the Yellowjackets, but they did enjoy a multitude of top-five finishes, season bests and personal records.
Â
In addition to her win in the javelin, Bader placed fourth in the shot put with a heave of 11.09 meters.
