ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Wednesday the Yellowjacket women's track and field team had select athletes travel to the Austin E. Knowlton Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of Augustana College to partake in the NCAA Last Chance Qualifier.
 
This meet features multiple teams from NCAA Division III, all competing for a spot to advance to the outdoor championships. UWS had five entrants on the day, and despite displaying a strong effort, saw their season come to a close at the end of the meet.
 
Simone Stephens (Scottsdale, Ariz./Saguaro) ran in the 1,500-meter race, taking 31st overall in 5:20.66. In the 5,000-meter race both Halle Barker (Superior, Wis./Superior) and Tea Boerner (Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna) took home times of 19:06.07 and 20:04.56, respectively.
 
In the javelin throw Sidney Bader (Milltown, Wis./Unity) took 12th with a heave of 34.02 meters, while Myla Volk (Wabeno, Wis./Wabeno) rounded things out in the triple jump with a leap of 10.21 meters.
 
Wednesday's meet capped the 2024-25 season for UW-Superior.
