Yellowjackets Fall to Hope College in First Round of NCAA Tournament

CHICAGO, Ill. – It's no secret the Yellowjacket women's tennis team has displayed a historic season in 2024-25. After setting a new win record last season, the 'Jackets have now set a new high-water mark in victories and captured the program's first Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) tournament championship after emerging victorious over Webster and Greenville by scores of 4-0 and 4-1, respectively.

Sweeping their way through the conference tournament not only meant they secured the first UMAC postseason title in program history, but it also served as the first time Superior received the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

UWS made its inaugural appearance in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Thursday, taking on Hope College from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on the campus of UChicago, the reigning champions of NCAA Division III.

The Yellowjackets would drop the doubles point to begin the morning, and the Flying Dutch would use their momentum from doubles to collect a 4-0 sweep.
