RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The Yellowjacket women's golf team began the fall portion of the 2025-26 season Saturday, entering the Falcon Invite hosted by UW-River Falls. After day one of the two-day tournament, Superior finished the day with a team score of 365 and in sole possession of 10th place.
Tournament Notes
- Leading the way for the Yellowjackets was Abby Schintz (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East), as she carded a 44/41 split for a 13-over 85. She holds a share of 15th place.
- Sophia Otto (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) closely followed, shooting a 47 on the front nine before shaving four strokes on the back nine to end her day with a 90.
- Collecting a score of 94 was Olivia Weyenberg (Stacy, Minn./North Branch), shooting a 50 on the front before shaving six strokes after the turn.
- Karin Hill (Duluth, Minn/Denfeld) closely followed, shooting a 24-over 96 on day one.
- After shooting a 48/50 split, Ashton Parnell (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti) ended her day with a 98.
- Competing as individuals, Claudia Curtis (Hartland, Wis./Lake Mills) logged a 96 while Allie Maschke (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) capped Saturday's action with a collective 97.
Superior returns to the course Sunday for the second and final round. Action begins at 7 a.m. in River Falls.
