BECKER, Minn. – Thursday morning saw the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) host the yearly UMAC Preview at Pebble Creek Golf Course. Following a round of the seven conference teams, the Yellowjacket women found themselves in third place shooting a collective 356.
Tournament Notes
- Shooting an even 42/42 split was Abby Schintz (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East), ending her day ranked third indivudially.
- Olivia Weyenberg (Stacy, Minn./North Branch) followed right behind Schintz, ranking fifth with a collective score of 85.
- The third Yellowjacket finisher was Makayla Ammerman (Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson), logging a 91 on the day.
- Both Sophia Otto (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) and Ashton Parnell (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti) rounded out the team entrants, ending the day with a 96 and 100, respectively.
- Karin Hill (Duluth, Minn/Denfeld) and Allie Maschke (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) competed as individuals, capping their rounds with scores of 90 and 95, respectively.
- Northwestern won the event with a team 338.
The Yellowjackets return to play Saturday, taking part in the D3 Classic hosted by Gustavus Adolphus. The two-day event is set to take place at Emerald Greens Golf Course in Hastings, Minn.
