Hastings, Minn. - The Yellowjacket women's golf team made the trip south for day one to the D3 Classic hosted by Gustavus Adolphus. After day one the 'Jackets find themselves in 13th place shooting 340 as a team.  

Tournament Notes:  

• Abby Schintz (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) led the way for UWS with a 43/38 split ending with a nine-over 81.  

• Makayla Ammerman (Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson) and Olivia Weyenberg (Stacy, Minn./North Branch) carded rounds of 85. For Ammerman she logged four birdies on the round.  

• Rounding out the team scores were Sophia Otto (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) and Karin Hill (Duluth, Minn/Denfeld) who shot an 89 and 90 respectively.  

• As an individual Ashton Parnell (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti) fired a 44/46 split on day one of the tournament. 

• Rounding out the Yellowjackets players Allie Maschke (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) 92 for the day. 

The Yellowjackets return for day two Sunday with the tee time set for 7:30 a.m. at Emerald Greens Golf Course.
