HASTINGS, Minn. – Day two of the D3 Classic, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus, took place Sunday at the Emerald Greens Golf Course. The Yellowjacket women's golf team finished Saturday's action in 13th place with a 340-team score, and Sunday's round saw them shave 12 strokes and end the tournament in 12th place overall with a 328.
This round of 328 broke the previous program-best mark of 340, which was set twice this season. So far, the Yellowjacket women have bettered their program-best round three times during the 2025-26 campaign.
Tournament Notes
- Both Abby Schintz (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) and Olivia Weyenberg (Stacy, Minn./North Branch) led Superior on the day, shooting identical rounds of 42/38 for an eight-over 80.
- Ending with a round two score of 83 was Makayla Ammerman (Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson), who ended her day with a birdie on the par-four 17th and a par on the par-four 18th.
- Sophia Otto (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) followed with a 45 on the front nine before shaving five strokes on the back for an 85.
- Karin Hill (Duluth, Minn/Denfeld) fired a 95 on the afternoon, while Allie Maschke (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) ended her day with an 89 competing as an individual.
UWS will tee off this Friday for round one of the Midwest Region hosted by Benedictine. Both rounds will take place at the Brighton Dale Links in Kansasville, Wis.
