SAINT PETER, Minn. – Saturday marked the second day of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) and Midwest Regional for the Yellowjacket women's tennis team. Following the day's action of doubles play, the 'Jackets fell to a pair of Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) foes and the Oles of St. Olaf.
Match Notes
- In the ITAs, the Yellowjacket duo of Anouk Bluemm (Nuremberg, Germany/Wilhelm-Loege Gymnasium) and Claudia Curtis (Hartland, Wis./Lake Mills) faced off against UW-Eau Claire, falling 8-2.
- Shifting to the Midwest Invite, Daylyn Drew (Negaunee, Mich./Negaunee) and Elif Oezen (Rheda-Wiedenbrueck, Germany/Einstein Gymnasium) lost 6-1 to their UW-La Crosse counterparts.
- St. Olaf's tandem emerged victorious over Kate Jonas (Annandale, Minn./Annandale) and Addison Fee (Crookston, Minn./Crookston) 6-4 to end the day.
Superior is back in action Saturday, traveling to Ramer Tennis Courts to face St. Catherine and UW-River Falls. Their match with the Falcons is set for 1 p.m. before taking on the Wildcats at 4 p.m.
