ROGERS, Minn. - The UW-Superior men's tennis team traveled south to Rogers to take on Wartburg. The Yellowjackets were able to take the victory from the Knights, winning 6-1.  

Match Notes:  

• The Yellowjackets earned the doubles point with the No. 1 doubles pairing of Yash Chhabra (Jaipur, Rajasthan/Sanskar School) and Vitor Sakakibara (São Paulo, Brazil/Colégio Saber) winning 7-6 (7-3) and the No. 3 doubles unit of Keanu Lin (Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount) and Mateo Abarca Pino (Riobamba, Ecuador/El Despertar) earning the 6-3 win.  

• Igor Guetten Chaves won his singles match 6-2, 6-0 while in the No. 2 singles Chhabra picked up a win with 6-1 victories in both sets.  

• Abarca Pino stayed hot in the spring portion of the schedule as he beat his Wartburg counterpart 6-0, 6-2. Sakakibara was victorious in the No. 4 singles as he won by scores of 6-1 and 7-5.  

• Adam Culp (Metamora, Ill./Metamora Township) won his singles match in the No. 5 matchup with scores of 6-1 and 7-5. Lin rounded out the Yellowjacket competition falling in three sets 4-6, 6-2, 0-1 (5-10).  

The Yellowjackets are next in action on April 11 as they open up UMAC play against Martin Luther and take on UW-La Crosse. Opening serve is set for 2 p.m. at the Cloquet High School Tennis Courts.
