ST. PAUL, Minn. - After playing 27 innings yesterday the Yellowjacket baseball team was back in action for the third game of the opening UMAC series with Northwestern. Superior was able to capitalize early against Northwestern and win 13-5.  

Game Notes: 

• The Yellowjackets struck first in the first as Trey Sybrant (Saint Michael, Minn./Saint Michael-Albertville) hit an RBI double that scored Noah Dagostino (Andover, Minn./Andover).  

• Superior got four more in the third with an RBI single from Tanner Voight (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) and a two RBI single from Niles Monroe (Belleville, Wis./Belleville). Monroe would come around to score later in the inning to add the fourth run.  

• The 'Jackets added a run in the fourth as Sybrant added his second RBI double of the contest scoring Paddy Kelly (Andover, Minn./Andover).  

• The 'Jackets scored five more in the fifth as Monroe scored on a fielder's choice. Dagostino added two runs on an RBI triple and would score on a single from Sybrant. Voight would bring home Sybrant on an RBI double. 

• Northwestern was able to put themselves on the board with a five spot in the sixth.  

• The 'Jackets added a pair of insurance runs in the ninth as Sybrant singled home Cody Glasheen (New Brighton, Minn./Irondale) and Will Czech (Anoka, Minn./Anoka) to extend the lead. 

• Kaden Corlett (Gordon, Wis./Solon Springs) earned the win on the mound for Superior pitching four innings and only allowing one hit. Logan Zinsmaster (Eau Claire, Wis./Eau Claire Memorial) earned the save for Superior pitching the final three and a third.  

• Sybrant and Voight finished with four hits each in the contest. Sybrant knocked in five RBIs in the contest.  

The Yellowjackets are next scheduled to be in action on Friday for their home opener against Bethany Lutheran. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the NBC Sports Complex.
