ST. PAUL, Minn. - After playing 27 innings yesterday the Yellowjacket baseball team was back in action for the third game of the opening UMAC series with Northwestern. Superior was able to capitalize early against Northwestern and win 13-5.

Superior got four more in the third with an RBI single from Tanner Voight (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) and a two RBI single from Niles Monroe (Belleville, Wis./Belleville). Monroe would come around to score later in the inning to add the fourth run.

Kaden Corlett (Gordon, Wis./Solon Springs) earned the win on the mound for Superior pitching four innings and only allowing one hit. Logan Zinsmaster (Eau Claire, Wis./Eau Claire Memorial) earned the save for Superior pitching the final three and a third.
The Yellowjackets are next scheduled to be in action on Friday for their home opener against Bethany Lutheran. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the NBC Sports Complex.
