WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – The Yellowjacket baseball team opened their spring trip with a pair of games against Beloit College. Superior came away with a 5-4 victory before the Buccaneers came back and took game two by a 9-2 decision.

Game One Notes
- The Yellowjackets took a 4-0 lead off a grand slam off the bat of Devin Frydenlund (Belleville, Wis./Belleville).
- Beloit scored a pair of runs in the second inning to shrink the Yellowjacket lead in half at 4-2.
- Paddy Kelly (Andover, Minn./Andover) walked to begin the bottom of the fifth inning before advancing on a balk. After Tanner Voight (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) walked, Niles Monroe (Belleville, Wis./Belleville) hit a sacrifice fly to right field, scoring Kelly and leading 5-2.
- Beloit scored a pair of runs in the top of the seventh inning, but Kevin Rahe (Princeton, Minn./Princeton) held the Buccaneers there and gave the Yellowjackets a 5-4 win.
- Kaden Corlett (Gordon, Wis./Solon Springs) started for the Yellowjackets and pitched two innings before giving way to Gio Basile (Eau Claire, Wis./Eau Claire North), who was tabbed with the win. He threw 3.1 innings, allowing just three hits while striking out six.
- Rahe was credited with a save.

Game Two Notes
- The Buccaneers scored three runs in their half of the third inning and five more in the fourth to jump to an 8-0 lead.
- In the top of the sixth, Trey Sybrant (Saint Michael, Minn./Saint Michael-Albertville) singled before Tanner Voight (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) walked. After Mason McKellar (Nashotah, Wis./Arrowhead) got plunked to load the bases, Chase Oxborough (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Champlin Park) walked to score Sybrant before Isaac Johnson (Maple Grove, Minn./Osseo) drew a walk, bringing the score to 8-2.
- Beloit scored another run in their half of the sixth, giving them a 9-2 win.
- Sybrant went 1-2 with a run scored, while McKellar finished the day going 1-2 as well.
- On the mound Josh Pritchard (Surrey, British Columbia/Clayton Heights Secondary) drew the loss, allowing three runs in three innings. He gave way to Miles Kay (Albertville, Minn./Saint Michael-Albertville) who threw the fourth inning before Aiden Pfeifer (Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie) pitched the final two innings, allowing four hits while striking out four with 10 batters faced.

The Yellowjackets return to action Monday when they take on Husson in a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. CT at Northeast Regional Park.
