ORLANDO, Fla. - The Yellowjacket women's tennis team began their games in the Sunshine State facing off against Emerson. The Yellowjackets could not tame the Lions, ultimately falling 4-3. 

Match Notes:  

• The Yellowjackets secured the doubles point sweeping Emerson. The team of Andreina Tejada (Quito, Ecuador/Isaac Newton) and Claudia Curtis (Hartland, Wis./Lake Mills) won their match 7-5, Kate Jonas (Annandale, Minn./Annandale) and Anouk Bluemm (Nuremberg, Germany/Wilhelm-Loege Gymnasium) won 6-1 while Daylyn Drew (Negaunee, Mich./Negaunee) and Elif Oezen (Rheda-Wiedenbrueck, Germany/Einstein Gymnasium) won their match 6-4. 

• In the No. 1 singles Curtis fell in three sets as Jonas also fell in three to their Emerson counterparts. 

• Drew took her singles match by the scores 6-0, 6-1 while Addison Fee (Crookston, Minn./Crookston) lost her singles match 1-6, 2-6.  

• Lillian Kimber (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) lost her No. 5 singles match 0-6, 1-6 while Amery Oberg (Grand Marais, Minn./Cook County) won her match 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8).  

The Yellowjackets return to court tomorrow as they face Loras. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. CT at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.
