CLOQUET, Minn. - The UW-Superior women's tennis team was in doubleheader action on Saturday as they hosted Martin Luther and UW-La Crosse. The Yellowjackets split their matches winning and losing both matches by scores of 7-0.  

Match 1 Notes: 

• The Yellowjackets took the doubles point from Martin Luther as Andreina Tejada (Quito, Ecuador/Isaac Newton) and Claudia Curtis (Hartland, Wis./Lake Mills) won 6-3 in their doubles match. The duo of Kate Jonas (Annandale, Minn./Annandale) and Addison Fee (Crookston, Minn./Crookston) won their doubles match 6-1 while Daylyn Drew (Negaunee, Mich./Negaunee) and Elif Oezen (Rheda-Wiedenbrueck, Germany/Einstein Gymnasium) won 6-2. 

• In the No. 1 singles Tejada took care of business winning by scores of 6-1 and 6-2. Oezen won the No. 2 singles 6-1 and 6-0. 

• Curtis took her singles match by consecutive 6-2 scores while Jonas won 6-0 and 6-1.  

• Drew won her singles match 6-1 and 6-2 while Fee took her No. 6 singles match 6-1, 6-0. 

Match 2 Notes: 

• The Yellowjackets lost the doubles point to the Eagles with UWL taking every doubles match.  

• Tejada fell in the No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-2. In the No. 2 singles Anouk Bluemm (Nuremberg, Germany/Wilhelm-Loege Gymnasium) fell to her Eagle counterpart 6-2 in both sets.  

• Oezen lost her No. 3 singles match 6-0 in both sets while Curtis fell 6-3, 6-2.  

• Jonas lost her match 6-3, 6-4 and in the No. 6 singles Drew fell by 6-2 scores in both sets.  

The Yellowjackets are next in action against Northwestern. Opening serve is set for 1 p.m. at the Johnson Tennis Complex in St. Paul.
