Game Notes
- Superior scored a pair in the first inning after a single off the bat of Wylee Lottman (Kerkhoven, Minn./Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg). After a Rams error in center field, both Tanner Voight (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) and Paddy Kelly (Andover, Minn./Andover) came around to score for an early 2-0 lead.
- In the bottom of the second, Carter Thielke (Fergus Falls, Minn./Fergus Falls) bunted to third base for a leadoff single, and in the next at bat, Isaac Johnson (Maple Grove, Minn./Osseo) roped a double down the left field line to plate Thielke.
- Noah Dagostino (Andover, Minn./Andover) would utilize the left field line this time driving home Kelly and Brian O'Dwyer (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove), who both reached on one-out singles to lead 5-0.
- The bats were neutralized until the bottom of the seventh inning, where a pair of hit batsmen got the frame started. Owen Farrington (White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake Area) singled to center field to plate Sybrant and Thielke followed with a single through the left side.
- Later a sacrifice fly off the bat of O'Dwyer gave the Yellowjackets their eighth and final run of the contest.
- Zach Romans (Saint Michael, Minn./Saint Michael) was masterful on the mound, allowing just one hit in the top of the fifth inning with 11 strikeouts in nine innings. His record moves to 3-3.
- The Yellowjacket trio of Kelly, Dagostino and Thielke led with two hits apiece. Dagostino led with two RBIs on the day.
