Game Notes
- After the Saints struck first in the bottom of the second inning, Superior responded with a three-spot in the top of the third. After Dante Westmiller (Maricopa, Ariz./Maricopa) drew a two-out walk, Paddy Kelly (Andover, Minn./Andover) singled to center before Noah Dagostino (Andover, Minn./Andover) hit a two-RBI double to right center.
- Dagostino would advance to third courtesy of a wild pitch, and Trey Sybrant's (Saint Michael, Minn./Saint Michael-Albertville) single to left center would plate the third run for Superior.
- The following inning, Mason McKellar (Nashotah, Wis./Arrowhead) drew a walk that was followed by a Westmiller double that one-hopped the wall in left field, giving the 'Jackets a 4-1 advantage.
- Superior collected six runs off five hits and a pair of Saints errors in the sixth. With the bases loaded, Isaac Johnson (Maple Grove, Minn./Osseo) delivered a pinch-hit two RBI single up the middle.
- Later with the bases loaded, Owen Farrington (White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake Area) found the right center gap for a bases-clearing double, forcing the Saints to turn to their bullpen.
- McKellar's RBI single to right center plated Farrington, giving the 'Jackets a 10-2 lead.
- In the top of the ninth inning, the 'Jackets scored the 11th and final run after Westmiller got plunked with the bases loaded.
- CSS scored one in the bottom of the ninth, but Ryker Ebert (Cameron, Wis./Cameron) drew the final two outs for the 11-3 win.
- Logan Zinsmaster (Eau Claire, Wis./Eau Claire Memorial) got the win in relief, pitching two innings and allowing just one hit while striking out two. Evan Cichanofsky (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) followed him, throwing three innings and also surrendering just one hit.
