ST. BONIFACIOUS, Minn. - The Yellowjacket baseball team came into Saturday's action coming off a run rule victory over Crown. The Yellowjackets were able to take two more from the Polars winning 8-3 and 10-0 in seven innings.  

Game 1 Notes: 

• Isaac Johnson (Maple Grove, Minn./Osseo) started the scoring for Superior as he singled home Tanner Voight (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) to make the score 1-0. 

• In the third, Voight launched a three-run shot to extend the Superior lead to 4-0.  

• In the fourth, Carter Thielke (Fergus Falls, Minn./Fergus Falls) singled in Tyler Fitzgerald (Neenah, Wis./Neenah) before he scored on a sacrifice fly by Voight.  

• Mason McKellar (Nashotah, Wis./Arrowhead) launched a home run in the fifth to extend the Yellowjacket lead to 7-0.  

• Crown put themselves on the board in the eighth scoring three runs to make it 7-3. 

• Trey Sybrant (Saint Michael, Minn./Saint Michael-Albertville) added an insurance run for the Yellowjacket allowing Thielke to score to make it 8-3. 

• Zach Romans (Saint Michael, Minn./Saint Michael) earned the win on the mound for the Yellowjackets pitching seven and two thirds innings striking out two while allowing three runs. Declan Higgins (Minneapolis, Minn./DeLaSalle) came in relief pitching the final inning for Superior.  

Game 2 Notes: 

• The Yellowjackets got on the board in the fourth starting with an RBI single by Brian O'Dwyer (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove). Paddy Kelly (Andover, Minn./Andover) tacked on two more runs for the Yellowjackets on an RBI double. Noah Dagostino (Andover, Minn./Andover) would later bring in both Kelly and Dante Westmiller (Maricopa, Ariz./Maricopa) to make it 5-0. 

• In the fifth McKellar singled home both Voight and Sybrant before coming into score courtesy of an RBI single from O'Dwyer. O'Dwyer would come into score later in the inning on a wild pitch making it 9-0. 

• Thielke added the tenth Superior run hitting a sac-fly that scored Dagostino. 

• Josh Pritchard (Surrey, British Columbia/Clayton Heights Secondary) pitched a complete game for the Yellowjackets, striking out nine while allowing zero runs and five hits in seven innings of work.  

Superior returns to action tomorrow as they play Carleton in non-conference action. Action between the 'Jackets and Knights is scheduled for noon at Mel Taube Field in Northfield, Minn.
