MANKATO, Minn. – The Yellowjacket men's tennis team entered Saturday's match with major Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) playoff implications. After sweeping doubles matches, the 'Jackets and Bethany Lutheran went head-to-head and after a pair of tiebreakers that took over two hours, the Yellowjackets clinched the No. 1 seed in the postseason tournament and a share of the UMAC Regular Season Championship.

- Igor Guetten Chaves (Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil/Colégio Adventista) and Vitor Sakakibara (São Paulo, Brazil/Colégio Saber) (6-3) took down their opponents at No. 1 doubles, while Sharan Kanugovi (Bangalore, Karnataka/New Baldwin International School) and Yash Chhabra (Jaipur, Rajasthan/Sanskar School) handled their Viking counterparts 6-1.
- Mateo Abarca Pino (Riobamba, Ecuador/El Despertar) and Keanu Lin (Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount) defeated Simao Caetano and Thales Oliveira 6-2 at the final doubles spot.
- Kanugovi won his match at No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-4 while Chhabra took down Daniel Poulakidas 6-2, 7-6 at No. 3 singles.
- Abarca Pino nearly fell to BLC 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5), while Sakakibara won a marathon of a 7-6 (9-7), 5-7, 6-2.
The Yellowjackets will now prepare for the UMAC Tournament, which is set for Friday inside the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis.
