WINONA, Minn. - The Yellowjacket women's tennis team returned to the court Friday, facing off against the Kohawks of Coe College. Superior forced a pair of tiebreakers on the afternoon, but Coe was able to come away with a 7-0 sweep.

- The top doubles duo of Andreina Tejada (Quito, Ecuador/Isaac Newton) and Claudia Curtis (Hartland, Wis./Lake Mills) nearly fell to their Coe counterparts Aisha Gurung and Addison Leasure 7-5.
- Addison Fee (Crookston, Minn./Crookston) and Elif Oezen (Rheda-Wiedenbrueck, Germany/Einstein Gymnasium)Â fell at the third position 7-6 (7-4) to Sophia Fain and Cosette Gaines.
- Tejada dropped a 6-0, 6-4 decision at No. 1 singles, while Oezen lost to Leasure in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.
- Curtis fell 7-5 in the first game before coming back 6-2, but she would fall in the tiebreaker.
- Slotted at the fourth singles slot, Kate Jonas (Annandale, Minn./Annandale) fell 6-2, 6-1 while Daylyn Drew (Negaunee, Mich./Negaunee) lost to Alliandra Hagness 6-2, 6-2.
- Fee would wrap up the Yellowjackets, falling 6-0, 6-1 at the sixth position.
The Yellowjackets return to action next Saturday when they open Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play with Martin Luther as well as UW-La Crosse. Action against the Knights is set to begin at 11 a.m. at Cloquet High School in Cloquet, Minn.
