MORRIS, Minn. – The Yellowjacket softball team rounds out the regular season in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play, taking on the Cougars of Minnesota Morris. Both the 'Jackets and Cougars have secured a spot in the postseason tournament and now play for seeding. In the opener both teams scored a run in the second inning, but a three-spot from the Cougars in the fifth propelled them to a 4-1 victory.

Game Notes
- Superior struck first in the top of the second, courtesy of a MyKenzie Leccia (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) solo shot to left field. Later, an RBI single from Taylor Johnson plated the tying run.
- The Cougars plated three more in the bottom of the fifth, taking the lead and securing the eventual 4-1 victory on their own field.
- Four Yellowjackets including Carly Stuckmayer (Delano, Minn./Delano), Leccia, Samantha Swartz (Antigo, Wis./Antigo) and Karen Balabon (Elk River, Minn./Elk River) capped their days with two hits.
- Taking the loss for the Yellowjackets was Bethany Lewis (Antigo, Wis./Antigo), coming in relief for the final three innings. Her record shifts to 8-2, while Alyssa Thornton picked up the victory for the Cougars.

The Yellowjackets and Cougars are back for a doubleheader Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Cougar Softball Complex.
