SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Yellowjacket baseball team was doubleheader action with Minnesota Morris on Saturday. Superior split their two games winning the first 14-0 in seven innings and losing game two 8-1.

Tanner Voight (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) opened the scoring for Superior, launching a two-run shot for the early lead. Isaac Johnson (Maple Grove, Minn./Osseo) added a third Superior run knocking in Wylee Lottman (Kerkhoven, Minn./Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg).

Carter Thielke (Fergus Falls, Minn./Fergus Falls) knocked in Paddy Kelly (Andover, Minn./Andover) to make it 4-0 in the second. In third Voight launched his second home run of the game to make it 5-0. Brian O'Dwyer (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) got into the RBI column doubling home Mason McKellar (Nashotah, Wis./Arrowhead).
Game 2 Notes:

Josh Pritchard (Surrey, British Columbia/Clayton Heights Secondary) took the loss on the mound for Superior pitching four innings giving up five runs. Ryker Ebert (Cameron, Wis./Cameron) and Adam Jensen (Brainerd, Minn./Brainerd) pitched the final five innings for the Yellowjackets, combining for nine strikeouts.
The Yellowjackets and Cougars are in action tomorrow as they play for a share of the UMAC Regular Season Championship. First pitch between the two squads is scheduled for 12 p.m. at Wade Stadium in Duluth.
