SUPERIOR, Wis. (March 17, 2018) – In their first match in almost a month, the Yellowjackets collected their second win of the season in dominating fashion over the Martin Luther Knights.

Doubles

Leonardo Paredes (Campinas, Brazil/Sao Paschoall) and Chad Hietala (Aurora, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert) had a very convincing win in their doubles match, going 8-1 in the no. 2 position. Petar Bulatovic (Podgorica, Montenegro/Lee Academy) and Gavin Mangan (Henderson, Nev./Basic Academy) then won a tight match (8-5) in the no. 3 doubles spot over Caleb Koeplin and Chris Walther.

Singles

Josiah Borst (Becker, Minn./Becker) and Hielta both had tough matches in the no. 1 and no. 3 positions, both going 7-5 and 6-2 to take victory, while Will Sherman (Baton Rouge, La./St. Michael) used two 6-4 victories to beat Koeplin in the no. 5 spot.

Bulatovic made quick work of Knight Nic Gartner with a 6-0 6-1 victory, and Peredes had a good win, beating Joel Koeplin 6-2 6-1.

The Yellowjackets will finish off their spring break with a group of matches across the state, taking on Crown College, Ripon, and Lakeland University.
