LAKEVILLE, Minn. (March 22, 2018) – Superior extended their win streak to three games Thursday, beating the Crown College Storm for their first UMAC win in program history.
Doubles
Grady Hauswirth (Farmington, Minn./Farmington) and Gavin Mangan (Henderson, Nev./Basic Academy) had the easiest day in the doubles matches, winning 8-0 in the no. 3 position. The toughest test in doubles was in no. 1 where Josiah Borst (Becker, Minn./Becker) and Will Sherman (Baton Rouge, La./St. Michael) beat their dueling opponent 8-2.
Singles
Every player won their singles matches by a score of 6-0 6-0 expect Borst and Leonardo Paredes (Campinas, Brazil/Sao Paschoall). Borst won his first set 6-0 and added another win with 6-2 while Paredes fell behind early 4-6, but rallied for 6-2 win and a 10-5 tie-breaker.
Head coach Kolin Dean was proud of his team saying: "We went out and took care of business today, the guys were really clicking."
