SUPERIOR, Wis. (April 8, 2018) – The Yellowjackets won their sixth-straight match Sunday afternoon as they beat the Minnesota Morris Cougars.

Doubles

Chad Hietala (Aurora, Minn./Eveleth-Gilbert) and Leonardo Paredes (Campinas, Brazil/Sao Paschoall) saw some tough competition in the no. 2 spot, but they were able to pull out the win, 8-5. The other two 'Jakcet pairs were clicking, getting 8-3 and 8-1 wins.

Singles

In the no. 1 position, Josiah Borst (Becker, Minn./Becker) saw a tough match, falling behind 6-7, but then kicked it into high gear with a 6-1 second win, and then won the tiebreaker 10-7.

The rest of the Yellowjacket squad was rolling as four matches only saw a 6-1 score. Will Sherman (Baton Rouge, La./St. Michael) had two solid wins, going 6-1 and 6-2.

"We knew we had some business to take care of today, and we got the job done. It was a great conference win!" said head coach Kolin Dean.
