SUPERIOR, Wis. – The UW-Superior men's and women's track and field teams will compete in at least 12 regular-season events in 2022-23, head coach Glen Drexler announced Friday.
 
The Yellowjackets will also host the 2023 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Feb. 24-25 at Dr. Lydia C. Thering Fieldhouse.
 
UWS begins the season at The Opener at St. Scholastica's Burns Wellness Commons on Dec. 10 at 11 a.m. The 'Jackets then host the Twin Ports Open Jan. 21 at 11 a.m., before heading to the two-day Warren Bowlus Open at UW-Stout on Jan. 27-28.
 
UWS will compete at the Lake Superior Challenge on Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. at CSS, before hosting the second-annual Maday Classic on Feb. 11, also at 11 a.m.
 
After the UMAC championship, select student-athletes will compete at the Ripon Final Qualifier on March 4.
 
The outdoor season is currently scheduled to get going April 1 with the Hamline Invitational. The 'Jackets are at the Saint John's Open April 6 and the Phil Esten Open April 21-22. The Bulldog Open at Minnesota Duluth is set for April 29.
 
The UMAC outdoor championships, hosted by Minnesota Morris, are slated for May 5-6, while UWS will take part in the Eagle Open on May 12.
