SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Yellowjacket men's tennis revealed its 2024-25 schedule in an announcement 2024-25 schedule on Thursday. In his Fifth season as head coach, Ceejay Schaffner is looking to defend the UMAC title.
The Yellowjackets begin the season making their fourth appearance at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional, taking place Sept. 27-29.
For the first home match of the season, the Yellowjackets will welcome Carleton on Oct. 5 at the Yellowjacket Outdoor Tennis Complex.
Hitting the road, the 'Jackets are set to see UW-Stevens Point and UW-La Crosse on Oct. 12 at 1p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively. The matches will take place at the Green Island Tennis Center in La Crosse, Wis. Sunday Oct. 13 the Yellowjackets will head to Winona, Minn. where they will match up against Ripon.
UW-Superior will be on the road to start the new year, facing Macalester and Luther Feb. 1. Heading to Green Bay, Wis. Feb. 8-9, UWS will see Augustana (Ill.) and St. Norbert.
March 29 the Yellowjackets are set to match up against Grinnell at the Rochester, Minn. Tennis Connection. UW-Superior will then head to Florida for its Spring trip.Â
The Yellowjackets will get into UMAC play starting with Crown at Waconia High school with the first serve set for 10 a.m. Following the 'Jackets will head over to Martin Luther for a 3:30 p.m. match. April 18 UWS will host Bethany Lutheran at 1 p.m. and Northwestern at 4 p.m. Both are set to take place at the Yellowjacket Outdoor Tennis Complex.
Hitting the road for the last regular season matches, UWS will head to UW-Eau Claire where they will first see Blugolds followed by Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) at the Eau Claire Memorial High School Tennis Courts.
The Yellowjackets ended the 2023-24 season 13-10 overall and 4-0 in conference play. During the UMAC Tournament, the 'Jackets fell to Greenville 5-4 in the semifinals.
