Box Score LAKE GENEVA, Wis. – Saturday wrapped up the first weekend of the Yellowjacket men's tennis team returning to action since the fall, as they took on the defending Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) champions in UW-Whitewater.

The Yellowjackets were unable to knock off the reigning champions, as the Warhawks emerged victorious by a 7-0 decision.

Match Notes
- The 'Jacket duo of Yash Chhabra (Jaipur, Rajasthan/Sanskar School) and Sharan Kanugovi (Bangalore, Karnataka/New Baldwin International School) fell to Payton Adkisson and Tyler Nelson 6-2, who were slotted at the No. 1 position.
- No. 2 doubles saw Drew Van Fossen and Giovanni Vitali take down Igor Guetten Chaves (Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil/Colégio Adventista) and Vitor Sakakibara (São Paulo, Brazil/Colégio Saber) 6-3.
- The final doubles match, featuring Blake Haugen (Fairmont, Minn./Fairmont) and Mateo Abarca Pino (Riobamba, Ecuador/El Despertar), saw UW-Whitewater defeat the Yellowjackets 6-1.
- Guetten Chaves fell in singles action to Vitali 6-3, 6-1, while Kanugovi lost in straight sets to Nelson.
- Nos. 3 and 4 singles saw the Warhawks take down the Yellowjackets 6-1, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-1, respectively. The Yellowjackets placed Chhabra in the third slot while Abarca Pino was placed in the fourth.
- Sakakibara was taken down by Chase Lindwall at No. 5 singles, resulting in 6-1, 6-0 decisions.
- Daniel Moeller won his match against Haugen 6-0, 6-1.

The Yellowjackets return to action Saturday, as they take on Luther and Macalester. The opening serve against the Norse is slated for 12:30 p.m., while the match against the Scots commences at 7 p.m. Both matches are set for the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
