Seven Superior Student-Athletes Highlight All-UMAC Women’s Soccer List

SUPERIOR, Wis. – After collecting their fifth Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Championship this past weekend, the Yellowjacket women's soccer team logged seven to the league's postseason award list, as it was announced Tuesday morning.

After solidifying a starting role as a sophomore, Larson paces the Yellowjackets offensively with 12 goals on the season, adding 10 assists for a collective 34 points. Hill, the UMAC Tournament MVP, sits second in goals with 11 after finding the back of the net in her last three matches. Both Larson and Hill log their first selection to the All-UMAC First Team.
 
Defensively, Bergerson and Clark have led the way for Superior. Bergerson tallied 90 minutes on 14 different occasions this season, playing a pivotal role in the opposition only taking 11.5 shots and scoring 1.14 goals per game. Clark, who has posted 10 shutouts this year, currently stands with a record of 10-6-4, coupled with a 1.08 goals-against average.
 
Wright's first season as a Yellowjacket has turned into a strong one. She has accumulated 16 points off six goals and four assists, posting 750 minutes on the front line. After becoming consistent starters for UWS, both Crystal and Schneider garner their first postseason awards from the UMAC. Crystal has logged 1,042 minutes on the pitch while Schneider has 844 minutes of her own, as both have become pivotal on both sides of the ball.
 
The Yellowjackets (11-7-4) enter the NCAA Tournament Saturday, traveling to Stagg Grass Fields to take on No. 7 UChicago. The opening kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m.
