ROGERS, Minn. - The Yellowjacket women's tennis team took on Wartburg in their first match since returning from Florida. The Yellowjackets were able to come away with the win over the Knights 5-2.

The Yellowjackets earned the doubles point with Andreina Tejada (Quito, Ecuador/Isaac Newton) and Claudia Curtis (Hartland, Wis./Lake Mills) winning their match 7-5. Anouk Bluemm (Nuremberg, Germany/Wilhelm-Loege Gymnasium) and Kate Jonas (Annandale, Minn./Annandale) also took care of business in their doubles match winning 6-4.

Elif Oezen (Rheda-Wiedenbrueck, Germany/Einstein Gymnasium) earned a victory in the No. 3 singles, winning 6-2 and 6-1. Curtis picked up a victory, winning 6-0, 6-1.

Jonas added to the Yellowjacket tally as she beat her Wartburg counterpart 6-3, 6-4. Daylyn Drew (Negaunee, Mich./Negaunee) fell in the No. 6 singles in three sets 1-6, 6-2, 0-1 (7-10).
Superior is back in action on Friday March 3 as they have doubleheader against Winona State and Coe. Opening serve is set for 12:30 p.m. at the Winona Tennis Center.
