CLOQUET, Minn. - The Yellowjacket men's tennis team was back in action against Martin Luther and UW-La Crosse. The Yellowjackets swept the Knights before falling to the Eagles 6-1. 

Match 1 Notes: 

• The Yellowjackets won the doubles point winning all three matches. Igor Guetten Chaves and Sharan Kanugovi (Bangalore, Karnataka/New Baldwin International School) won 6-0. In the No. 2 doubles, the team of Blake Haugen (Fairmont, Minn./Fairmont) and Preston McClimek (Hermantown, Minn./Hermantown) won 6-3 while Ezekiel Ribar (Saint Peter, Minn./Saint Peter) and Gavin Brown (Isanti, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti) won 6-4.  

• In the No. 1 singles, Guetten Chaves won 6-0 and 6-2 while in the No. 2 singles, Kanugovi won his match 6-2, 6-0.  

• Yash Chhabra (Jaipur, Rajasthan/Sanskar School) won his singles match by scores 6-1 and 6-0 and in the No. 4 singles Keanu Lin (Rosemount, Minn./Rosemount) won 6-3 and 6-1.  

• Haugen won his singles match by a score of 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (11-9). Marcos Labella Parilla won his singles match 6-4 in both sets.  

Match 2 Notes: 

• The Eagles took the doubles point winning two of three matches. The pairing of Vitor Sakakibara (São Paulo, Brazil/Colégio Saber) and Chhabra picked up their match 6-3.  

• Guetten Chaves lost the No. 1 singles match 4-6, 6-2, 0-1 (8-10). In the No. 2 singles match Kanugovi fell to his Eagle counterpart 4-6 and 2-6.  

• In the No. 3 singles Chhabra fell 3-6 and 4-6. Mateo Abarca Pino (Riobamba, Ecuador/El Despertar) earned the lone singles victory winning 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (14-12) 

• Sakakibara fell in his singles match 3-6 in both sets while in No. 6 singles Lin lost 4-6 and 3-6.  

Superior in next in action on Saturday when they travel to St. Paul to play Northwestern. Opening serve is scheduled for the Johnson Tennis Complex at 4 p.m.
