RICE LAKE, Wis. - The Yellowjacket men's golf team started day two of the UWS Spring Invite in both third and fourth place. Team A was able to battle back into first place and Team B remained in fourth both shooting 303 and 326.
Match Notes:
- Andrew Slatten (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) paced the 'Jackets shooting a 73 and finishing third as an individual.
- Matthew Unger (New Richmond, Wis./New Richmond) finished his round shooting a 76 for his round,
- Blu Anderson (Amery, Wis./Amery) and Trevor Durfee (Superior, Wis./Superior) finished their rounds both shooting six over scores of 77.
- Andrew Rude (Superior, Wis./Superior) rounded out the Team A competitors shooting a 12 over 83 for his round.
- Sam Brennan (Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) was the best Team B competitor carding a round of 79.
- JD Glampe (Green Bay, Wis./Luxemburg Casco) and Caden Knutson (Hopkins, Minn./Hopkins) both finished with rounds of 11 over on Saturday.
- August Lang (Somerset, Wis./Somerset), Cole Moore (Little Rock, Ark./Sabetha), and Kobe Grant (Vernon, British Columbia/South Kamloops Secondary) rounded out the 'Jacket competitors with rounds of 83, 88 and 91.
The Yellowjackets now turn their attention to the NCAA Division III championship hosted at Mission Resort + Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. on May 12 through May 15.
