HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - This past fall, the Yellowjacket men's golf team took home first place in the three-day Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Championships, earning the league's automatic bid to compete in the NCAA Division III Men's National Championship.
Tuesday and Wednesday the Yellowjackets were in action at the Mission Inn Resort, and inclement weather forced a pause to Superior's opening round at El Campeon. They were able to resume Wednesday and after completing two rounds (round two played at Las Colinas), the 'Jackets found themselves below the cutline with a two-day score of 644, thus ending their season in the Sunshine State.

In the opening round, Andrew Rude (Superior, Wis./Superior) led UWS with a four-over 76. He rattled off a back-nine of one-under, including a birdie on the par-five 17th hole. In round two, he shot a 10-over 81.

Trevor Durfee (Superior, Wis./Superior) carded a pair of front-nine birdies on his way to a round one total of 83. During round two he led the way with a 38/39 split at 77, including a birdie on the front and back nines.

Rounding out the Yellowjackets was Matthew Unger (New Richmond, Wis./New Richmond), who finished with a collective 93. He shaved strokes off his opening round total in round two, shooting a 45/40 split with four birdies for an 85.
This concludes the 2025-26 season for Superior.
