LA CROSSE, Wis. – The UW-Superior men's track and field team closed the season at the UW-La Crosse Final Qualifier at the Veterans Memorial Sports Complex on Thursday.
Freshman
Ethan Westimayer (Laona, Wis./Laona) qualified for finals in the 100-meter dash, finishing 10th in the preliminary round in a time of 11.10. In the finals, he ran ninth overall in 11.19. Westimayer was also fifth in the 200 in 22.43, while Grabarkewitz took sixth in 22.47.
Freshman
Andrew Grabarkewitz (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids Senior) was 11th in the 100, just behind Westimayer in 11.12. Classmate
Steven Pearson (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior) was 15th in 11.54. Freshman
Nate Huju (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids Senior) was second in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:00.18 and 10th in the 110-meter hurdles in 17.78.
Junior
Tyler Finger (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville) ran 13th in the 1,500 meters in 4:05.93, ahead of classmate
Derrick Moe (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet) in 4:10.23 for 14th place.
Finally, senior
Travis Gee (Minocqua, Wis./Lakeland Union) was ninth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:18.68.
