RIVER FALLS, Wis. – Senior
Nicole Koski (Park Falls, Wis./Chequamegon) won her heat of the 800-meter run for a fifth-place finish to help the UW-Superior women's track and field team to an impressive day at the UWRF Winter Classic at Knowles Field House on Saturday.

Koski ran a season-best time of 2:41.01 in the 800. She ran the lead leg of the distance-medley relay as part of a team with freshmen
Halle Barker (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior),
Tea Boerner (Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna Senior) and
Kenzy Kreuzer (Stoddard, Wis./De Soto). That group finished second in the race in 15:08.39.

Junior
Kasha Hughlett (Maple, Wis./Northwestern) was also second in the weight throw with a top mark of 14.97 meters, one of seven personal records set throughout the team on the day.

Sophomore
Jeanna Scanlon (Park Falls, Wis./Chequamegon) and Boerner were sixth and eighth, respectively in the mile in 6:23.02 and 6:47.70, both PRs.

UWS is back in action Friday at 2 p.m. at the St. Thomas Showcase before hosting the Yellowjacket Open Saturday at Dr. Lydia C. Thering Fieldhouse at 11 a.m.
